The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA) welcomes members of the press who wish to cover the annual Estrella War, an international gathering of one of the largest living history groups in the world. The SCA is a not-for-profit educational organization that studies western European history by recreating the pastimes and crafts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The Estrella War is hosted and administered by the Kingdom of Atenveldt, the local Arizona regional chapter of the SCA.
Press days are planned from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday (Feb 12, 2010) and Saturday (Feb 13, 2010). Members of the media will be escorted through the site by a media liaison. NON-PRESS COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHERS, FILMMAKERS AND DOCUMENTARY FILM AND TV CREWS
Commercial/documentary video/film crews and commercial photographers wishing to record activities at Estrella War XXVI must:
- Seek permission to film from the Society for Creative Anachronism no later than January 1, 2010
AND
These requirements apply to all professional video/film crews and still photographers taking photographs for resale who wish to work independently and record activities at Estrella War XXVI for future commercial use. Crews who arrive at the event without prior permission, and those who setup or film without permission, will be asked to leave, and permission to use the material filmed at the event will be withheld.
